I finally got tired of beating myself up for not going and headed back to Big Sur. Made it to almost El Capitan SB before the sun cleared the horizon so I stopped and wandered around there for a bit before continuing north. Spent some time around San Simeon and watched a fox 'almost' get a mallard. Heading further up the coast, the haze began to build but I wandered in a couple of stands of redwoods and visited Limekiln SP before heading even further north and doing the McWay Falls thing. Though I had wanted to do some star trails over one of the beaches, it had already been a long day so I headed for Carmel. The next day started at Point Lobos SR with a Peregrine Falcon, seals on some rocks, awesome scenery and then heavy fog. From there it was to the Andrew Molera SP for some wandering around including wading across a very cold Big Sur River to get a few shots. 'Refreshingly brisk'. From there it was heading back towards San Diego with various stops to try and capture images of the rugged coastline. Next time I do this it's going to be for a few more days.
