A short stop at Silver Strand State Beach this evening got me a few good after glow shots down the beach even with the heavy cloud layer just off the coast. After going back to work for a bit I ended up having some BBQ at Lil Piggy's on the island then breaking out the camera and doing some long exposures of the San Diego skyline. Had a Black Crowned Night Heron sitting nearby that let me get some closeups with the 16-35mm lens, even though it was missing a foot. Kind of sad to see but not a lot of choices.
